WPBaker Page Builder (formerly known as Visual Composer)is one of the most popular WordPress plugins around as it offers a unique way of achieving original page layouts and designs. Licensing

As long as you keep the default update method, you don’t need a separate license. Although we provide an option to switch to Plugin update method, we don’t recommend doing that. There are two reasons why we think it’s better sticking to the default update method (theme).

• We test each new version to comply with our theme. As we already mentioned, we have included our own shortcodes and in some case made small changes to the default shortcodes so, we need to test the plugin thoroughly before we make it available.
• We provide support for any issue. Switching to Plugin update method will also change support provider (you’ll be requesting assistance from WPBakery). But we know our theme better than WPBakery

Security

We have been following all security guides and also getting the latest news from WPBakery about safety issues. Whenever there is a security update, we will release a new version of our theme including it very shortly. Note that, generally the plugin is considered safe and no security issues have been prompted in the near past.

Functionality

Most minor updates will not add or remove basic or even advanced functions of the plugin. Most of those updates are basically fixing minor issues that end-users may not even realize where there in the first place. Don’t forget that WPBakery Page Builder is software and there is such a thing as “perfect” software so, there will always be new versions (as long as the author chooses to maintain it).

WPBakery Page Builder has its own update schedule. We may not be able to provide you with each -minor- version of the particular plugin. We are committed though, to providing you with the latest -tested- version.
